Other Work

I have been an accredited lecturer for The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS) since 2001 and have done six ArtsNational (formerly ADFAS) lecture tours all over Australia to date. See 'Lectures' for my topics.

I have taught many weekend courses for the University of Cambridge at its historic venue Madingley Hall over the years: see https://www.ice.cam.ac.uk/about-us/staff-profiles/tutor/dr-sophie-oosterwijk, and also presented many online lectures and courses for other organisations from Academy Travel in Australia to The Church Monuments Society. One of my Zoom lectures for the National Women's Register (NWR) during lockdown attracted an audience of some 1000 viewers!

I have also lectured for the Royal Academy, National Trust, V&A Museum, Art Pursuits Abroad and other organisations. I love leading art tours for companies such as Martin Randall Travel and Limelight Travel, and enjoy the experience of being a guest speaker on cruises for Noble Caledonia and Fred Olsen. In addition, I co-edited the annual journal Church Monuments for many years and still offer to do editorial and translation work.
